I Finally Released a Game! 2D Galaxy Shooter Finished!
I can finally say that I am finished with the first course from the Professional Unity Developer program I am enrolled in at GameDev HQ!

I feel accomplished and excited to finally finish a course and a game I can say I’ve programmed! In the last two sections, the phase 1 framework and the phase 2 core programming alone is the ultimate experience every course should have! I’ve learned so much in the past two to three weeks alone since starting my game dev journey two years ago!
I was the wannabe game developer who bought many courses online and never finished any of them. So, for me, completing one out of 6–7 courses this program offers is an achievement!
There were a lot of concepts that I was uncomfortable with when starting this course. Coroutines, manipulating vectors, physics, and arrays too name a few. I gained more confidence over them in the past several weeks! Jonathan, our teacher/instructor, does a great job of giving us a problem to solve before he does.
We gain so much experience when we solve the problems given to us! It feels gratifying when I do!
I feel like I can program anything.
I had a lot of fun! I destroyed many enemy ships, and I pulled many hairs from the frustration of implementing the wave system and the enemy boss! Those two features really make the game feel complete!

It was a hell of a ride! There is so much to learn from, and I value learning so much!
With this game finished, I can now move on to the next course! Stealth Game and Cinematography! It’s going to be a 3D game heavily based on stealth and cinematic scenes! I am so excited!!
That is all for today. Thank you for your time!
